Why RTB going be Shutdown?

this is a really sad loss. RTB has been with us since... forever. its a great tool and everybody had it. i think that Ephi is making a huge mistake by taking it down. we should all write hand written letters and sign a petition.

I think there should be a replacement IRC channel
the prefs should be its own addon. What would happen if I still had RTB installed, would it just not connect to the services?

hey ya? it prolly wont connect to services and you prolly wont have friends. but you might be able to manage your existing addons with it and you might still be able to use server prefs.

Wait this is a theory on why I think RTB is going down.

There shutting it down because badspot might be addmin a new type of MOD API or something that is like RTB. I might be wrong.

So what'll happen after RTB's gone with servers that use different RTB prefs for various add-ons (such as the Duplicator)? Will those settings just go away and you'll be stuck with the add-on's default settings? Or will there somehow be a way to change the settings
