Author Topic: Why RTB going be Shutdown?  (Read 86993 times)

Blockland is going down the drain right now.

It's being DDoSed again

Ugh.
We will miss you, RTB.
Someone should mass download all the add-ons and release them publicly.
It's nice to know the hosting will remain, though.
I hope most of my RTB friends have steam.
I think somebody already is

we'll have topic spams saying "i want RTB back" even worse than when v21 came along and I&T got removed
but really, wow.

I don't think some of you quite understand. RTB is not making this crazy awesome migration, nor is it making an obscure come back or upgrading or whatever you guys seem to [desperately] think. It's shutting down on the date specified. There won't be a reprogramming of it and the source code is also not coming out; it won't be merged with Blockland in any way as far as I know. There are a number of personal reasons I've been informed of as to why RTB is closing down and I'm sure they'll become clear some way or another over time. Steam will cover you assuringly as best it can.

EDIT: I have opened up an IRC chat station on Mibbit. The channel is #blocklandchat. This should work for the mean time as a means to converse.

What if we can't stand Steam?

Alright, you heard him, lets assemble some coders to work on a new program, Return to RTB, It can be called RTRTB

You guys do realize the RTB we know now was an extreme rip-off of Steam, so you guys should be perfectly fine with Steam.

Has anyone decided on a language yet?

And this is why we need a place other than the forums that keeps addons.

i can't tell if this is a troll, or a failed joke.
