Author Topic: Warlords — [Term 22] — Age of Enlightenment. (Flags, Mottos, Anthems)  (Read 9171 times)

Term 3!  Terms will now proceed by a chronological basis.  At midnight, GMT.

Dolckrow finishes the school and the watchtowers.  The school will be devoted to educating great scholars.  The watchtowers provide one more tile of visibility.  (3N/S, 2E/W).  Buildings in Dolckrow are becoming closer together, and more resilient.  Overhaul is ⅔ done.  Dysentery appears in Dolckrow, but it effects 1 population point and goes away shortly after.  (Started rolling a 10-sided die, 0-9.  Rolled a 4 for if it infects, and 0 to see what happens to it.)

As Fitzea had no projects, they gathered 3 iron, 9 copper, as well as 6 food.

Robolqia is facing starvation, and does not have enough farmland to support them, because of this, they lose one population point.  However, they gather 3 food, and 1 gold.

Eltringham's Armies suffers from typhus.  They try to prevent it by burning the bodies on a pyre, and it stops except for a second outbreak, which infests one more population point.  Because of this, the population of EHA loses one point, and another point is infected.  (Blazer, I am so sorry, you kept rolling 1s and 2s).  They do, however, find 1 iron.

Netyral has looked into readapting its society, but has noted that it cannot do this without stretching itself too thin, and therefore must make a formal decision.  They do, however, gather 2 each of food, iron and 1 copper.

News & Announcements update.

Players may now update their nation description.  Send me a PM of it in pure text*, and I will add it in.

I am now making terrain. Editing 4096 individual tiles is very fun.

Thank god for copy/paste.  Ideally if it would work for the character count, it would be interesting if each tile could be fit into a table, and doing…
Code: [Select]
[abbr=""][/abbr]
…to make some interactive tiles.

Zan, I modified the Map OP for you, and fixed the anchor points.

Edited OPN.  Nations now have updated progress.

Anything you would like to see?  Send me a PM of some poll that you want up.

Happy belated Term 3 report.

Dolckrow consolidates Dolckrow Common and raises education, and begins to build yet another school.  Citizens graduating the school system become interested in the sciences, the arts and economics.  Public Services are improved overall, as roads are put into place.  Some higher-end houses begin boasting a simple plumbing system, where waste is disposed of in an enclosed pit outside.  A man invents an unusual invention supposedly allowing a user to safely travel underwater in a wooden craft without getting wet.  (Rolled 8/10 for discovery)

Fitzeans finally settle down.  They gain 1 food and 1 iron.

Robolqians consume their emergency 3 food, but it isn't enough.  1 population dies of starvation.

Eltringham's Army tries to yet again contain the sickness by burning more bodies, but the virus keeps spreading!  (Blazer, you're getting some bad rolls up in here, rolled a 1/6). 1 population dies of typhus, and 1 population is infected (rolled a collective 5/36).  By this time, the rest of the population becomes immune (28/30).  Forced repopulation is executed and completed successfully for 1 population point.

Netyral sits on its hands regarding societal overhauls, as fierce public debates go on about keeping society in balance, by not putting too much stress on it.  They do however gather 2 food, 3 iron and 3 copper.

Will do.  I'll expand you right since there is no left.  Also name for your capitol if you want one?

Unless (I will include this in the poll) that if you can loop to the other side of the world.

Zanaran2 is almost done with the map.  He ought not to leak it because it is subject to change at this point, but once it's final, it's final.  I saw a preview and I think you guys are in for a treat.  :)

forgetin WOW

Do some hunting WITHOUT PICKING UP HEAD LICE SO WE CAN forgetIN EAT

You've been hunting to somewhat sustain yourselves.

Well find a nearby town and harass them for food.

Yay food and iron and copper.

What are the results for the last two terms?

Working on it.  Was at a friend's house.

Nation Name: Elfriera

Demonym: Elfrierian

Capitol Name: Yagbria

Starting Coordinates: 35-38, 42-44

A brief description about your nation: Elfriera is a nation born out of violence. Beginning with a group designed to be a democracy, it all went good. That is, until people became greedy. Political parties transformed into armies, and civil wars broke out regularly. Although, that was a long time ago. The most powerful political party, the Unrbrians, took power 67 years ago. So far, things have been more peaceful. Of course, Elfriera still is not a stranger to violence. Acts of violence are not discouraged, and some people fight for sport. Although. Elfriera has been trying to get onto a cultured path, that is far, far away.

Looks great.  Can you review the updated format?

I changed some things for clarity.

Okay here we go.

First of all, people received resources.  Go see what you got on the OPN post.  Everyone who had started from rounds 0 and 4 received a 5-point bonus, as far as potential, and had some max stats expanded.

Dolckrow has succeeded in consolidating its society.  It has also increased in population by 2 points.

Fitzea has gained 1 population point.

Robolqia has gained 1 population point.

Eltringham's Army's case of Typhoid is long gone.  Some scouts find a small village and call in a team to attack them.  The attack was successful, and food and gold was found.

Netyral gains 1 population point.

In other news, the map is looking splendid, and we're sure to see something nice.

Anyway I'm going to actually start doing stuff with my empire instead of updating the map from dusk to dawn[/sarcasm]

Fitzeans plan to claim the following tiles: (0, 11) and (1, 11).
