Err, "just started" wouldn't exactly be right. I've put maybe 50 solid hours into coding it over the past 3 months or so. Where you start depends on how low you want to go, I started with the bootloader then wrote the kernel. Neither are complete (the bootloader is close though) but I'm working on NTFS filesystem support right now.

On my second computer, I am using Mac OS 10.8 because 10.9 has compatibility issues with Python2/Python3 and because Arch Linux refuses to load the kernel modules for my NIC.

On this computer, I use Windows 7 and I will switch when I have the time to switch.
