No, guns r harmless :)

what does just about every honor student have in common?

Mental issues.  They guys who shot up columbine and the one who shot up Newtown's Elementary school had a history of mental problems, and they should've never been given access to guns in the first place.  And if you think people used to never lock your doors just because you heard one family member talking about it, you are being extremely narrow minded.  Especially as late as 30 years ago.
You're only talking about school shootings. I am not only talking about school shootings.

You're more likely to die in a car crash than to get shot in a mass shooting.
You're just really loving paranoid, don't blame guns for that.
People sure are pulling a lot of stuff out of my posts that aren't even there.

What do car crashes have to do with my post?
What makes you think I am paranoid?
Where did I blame guns?

My posts aren't 100% geared towards guns. This topic's main idea just happens to be about guns. My posts are more about violence and feeling unsafe.

your more likely to get struck by lightning 4 times than get blown up by a terrorist

should we ban lightning

Mexico produces copies of the G3 and G36 for their military, but police use whatever they can get their hands on. I've seen many photos of AR15s, M4's, M16s, G3s, G36s, and FN Fals in the hands of Mexican police forces. There are some cities that don't have a mayor or a chief of police because cartels are so powerful. In some cases the police work with the cartels, in other instances there would be local police officers attacking federal Mexican police.

Your statistic is based in the reasoning that every person who stages major massacres are terrorists.

This is only semi-relevant, but I had to write a response to this horrid article just yesterday:

http://www.nytimes.com/1994/03/20/magazine/just-take-away-their-guns.html

Thought people would want something to laugh at.

I always think of someone disputing the right to surgically attach bear arms to yourself.

Is it only semi-relevant because it was published 20 years ago?

No its still relevant in that sense, I just meant because it focuses more on methods of controlling guns than the actual right to bear arms.
