if you see someone with a broken leg, you don't say "oh, broken legs aren't a real issue, get over it" like people do for mental issues. I realize there is a difference in tangibility but neither is inferior to the other. When I tell people I have bipolar disorder, they act like either A.) I'm going to kill them on the spot, or B.) One person told me "get over it, it's not that hard to not be sad"
