I once nearly drowned in 20+ ft of water (keep in mind there were no lifeguards here, and I can't passively float) because some dipstuff decided it would be funny to push me off a high rock down into the water. Had no idea what was happening until I hit the water, and I didn't know stuff about swimming at the time. Only thing that saved my life was that someone noticed and jumped in, and pulled me to land.
I've also had multiple choking occurrences in the past, including dropping from high places and not being able to breathe.
and people ask me why I have a fear of heights...
This one isn't me, but there was a kid in my class who sat on a log during a field trip on a hill and ended up rolling down head-first in a dense forest, down a steep slope. Lucky as forget she didn't hit any trees/rocks/general obstacles on the way down.
