Author Topic: Is it okay to fail these classes in 8th grade?  (Read 3508 times)

If you can't even pass middle school, then you should just start working at McDonalds today

I didn't fail anything in my class, I have always gotten a B or an A, nothing below. My last year report was all A's for middle school, it seems like a loving challenge to fail middle school, it just seems to me like you refuse to learn, it's not hard.

i think its fine to fail every class tbh school is for nerds

Depends. Some classes in school are vital. Others are useless. I honestly (IMO) think religion is useless. I couldn't care less about a giant invisible man stalking us. But mathematics, language, politics, economy are all vital for the future.

Colleges really look at your Junior and Senior year if you're really worried about it. They understand your work ethic can change, so those are what they primarily look at.
As soon as you hit high school work on a good work ethic, then start working really hard, progressively you'll become a better studier and worker, and you shouldn't have to worry.

Also I can't ignore this anymore...
español mucho bueno jesucristo

My Spanish teacher would hit you with a ruler if you say "mucho bueno" anyone near her class.

It isn't ok to fail any class, really. I recommend just trying your best. It's what I do.

This. It'll only boost your chances at a job in the future to have good grades in middle school and high school.

Well, like said before in this thread, it's not about forcing you to become religious and just teaching Christianity/Catholicism. I'm sure you learn about the world's present and past religions as they are, no matter your opinion, extremely important to a civilization's culture and life.

So while I have taken a basic religion class, and think it's interesting yet I am 100% not religious, it's more than just learning about a "giant invisible man stalking us". That's the kind of ignorance we don't need.

Just my two cents.

I never really study for any tests until last minute cause I'm such a lazy butt.
although somehow it works so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

How 'bout you don't fail at all?  :cookieMonster:

For me, the only class I needed to pass was math. I'm pretty sure if you fail the other classes you go onto high school anyways. I failed math anyways though so I got put in a middle school math class in 9th grade. Doing better in middle school will make your high school career easier.

Well, first of all, the classes that are required are

English
Math
World History (or just history)
Science

Spanish must be an elective, and religion is probably an elective

its grade 8. dont worry about it as much. worry in grade 9+

also yeah failing any class is bad. try to at least pass with a 50% or something

religion sounds like a class i'd pick just to sleep through
