so I'm doing terrible in 8th grade. I'm doing excellent in math and reading, but I'm definitely failing Spanish, social studies, science, and religion. Even though I said definitely, I'm not sure. What subjects can you fail and get away with it?

You need 3 out of 4 of those. You're forgeted.

If you have a grade in a class, and if you have an F, you're forgeted.

Spanish, social studies, science, and religion
what's that leave?
math?

no but really, it's more about grade point average, isn't it?
idk about middle school but I'd assume that even if you had an A in math, and an A in language arts, four F's would pretty much balance your entire semester grade down to an F

El Mexicano no like you.

Erm, you only need social studies and science, religion and spanish aint worth stuff in school

any class shouldn't be "okay to fail"

español mucho bueno jesucristo

You really need to study. Get your ass off the forums for a while and get educated or you're probably not going to do good.

religion doesn't seem important unless you're christian, and even so, you're really not going to get out "educated"

Social Studies and Science are definitely required.

I'm terrified
studying is my pet peeve, and I didn't study today, test is tomorrow, for social studies and religion. I have the morning to study but I don't think that's enough time.
loving teacher didn't tell us what to study, she just said study sections one and two

Hardly any middle school elective grades matter at all.

i remember in illinois in order to place into a good high school all you needed were good grades in 7th grade and to do well on two standardized tests

though you shouldn't fail any of them, really. pay the forget attention jesus

if he wants to get away with it now, he will want to get away with it in high school

2 years of the same world language is required to graduate at my county, maybe state

tbh the grades in classes don't mean stuff in middle school, the important thing is to get into a good study habit for when you hit high school
which sounds like you're not doing

so yeah you could be pretty forgeted unless you learn to study more efficiently or generally better.
