Let me start off by saying, it's a really nice model. I couldn't make most of the intricate designs that are on the model look that smoothly and clean. Now, most of the details on this model are highly unnecessary, as in people won't even notice them when they're using them in death matches. While it's a cool concept, it's just not necessary. You should use the original as an in-game model, and the current version as your concept to keep building on (if you want) on the 3d model topic.

Red circles are unneeded details imo

not removing any details

I've decided that this will be its own laser, this will be called the "Chronolaser" (I think) and will be separate from the shining laser, which will have a more "proper" model/function/name

the Chronolaser is gonna be a statement weapon that's absurdly overpowered and intricate in both code and model, it's going to have raycasting, homing, and several other functions. It has become a "Because I can" weapon to end that phase of my modding career and I have every intention of keeping it the way I want it, it won't have much point in minigames because of how it works but it'll blow stuff up like forget and it will be very visually intensive/pretty

the shining laser is getting a complete redesign and will look nothing like it

Call it the Over Encumbered

Call it the Over Encumbered
what

Im calling it the chronolaser because it's based off of the chronosceptre from turok

which was also a very loving overpowered weapon designed to finish the final boss of the game

it's what the shining laser was based off of but I could never make it work the way it was supposed to. now I can, so I'm going to.

I love turok. Make dinosaurs!

that could be very good or very bad

I considered making a bionicle-style dragon but the polygons piled up insanely fast, I doubt I could do it even with my more efficient techniques

never took it past these few pieces because I had already hit 2-3000 polygons

Do it just for the sake of finishing the model, that looks really interesting. Doesn't have to be for blockland.

maybe, I don't have the models anymore, but I do have the physical dragon I was basing it off of

All for it man, upload updates to 3D model topic!

a couple links added to OP

bump

new weapon for the laser set

I'm calling it the "Eraser" right now

this is the low-poly, blocko variant of the model, I still have to design the high poly version

It's gonna raycast a massive deathray that passes through players but not bricks

drawbacks are an extremely long charge and cooldown time, high recoil, and inability to move or change weapons while charging
