Okay guys, so I've been trying to learn Paradox games for a while now, and I want to learn CKII. Any tips for me or should I just trial and error it out for a few hours?

i've never played crusader kings, but with the games i do i have, i tried to learn them myself because the tips never worked well for me, and i found it more fun that way

God these games seem so interesting but I fall flat on my face every time. So I'm trying to play sweden in CKII but this bastard Erik always forms the faction of ERIK 4 SWEDEN HURR and rebels and he always pulls like an infinite number of troops out his ass and my morale drops so fast when trying to beseige his one province. How do I fight him? Or would assassination be easier?

Yeah plotting helps sometimes if you have enough plot power. Try marrying off your not so important kids to powerful people so you get allies that might support you in times of war.
But you can also execute him when he's in your dungeon after you defeat his rebellion.

I think he might be assaulting his fiefs instead of just besieging them. Dont click the assault button unless you GREATLY outnumber the defense and for some reason you have to rush, itll kill a lot of your troops and it drops morale speedily.

I used to always assault at first and I couldn't figure out why I was losing my wars
now I never assault
