Religion bothers me deeply because it is the an introduction to circular logic, rhetorical stagnation, and generally encourages close-mindedness. It can very quickly turn people, often of very similar mind, against each-other for no good reason. It often takes away from the appreciation of the beauty of step-by-step formation of a delicately balanced world.
Religion can and does kill people.
However, this isn't all religions. Buddhism is pretty cool. And other than those points, I wouldn't have any real reason to dislike religion. It genuinely can be helpful to some people.

Well, I'm a Christian and yet I don't reject science.  I still believe that the Earth is fairly young.  I don't really stand for any denomination, and make sure that I find proof for what I read.  I've also come up with some of my own theories that are rarely visited.

For example, the average Christian does not believe that Pangaea ever existed.  However, there is significant proof all over the place that lead that it is true.  Btw, I'm only saying this because I was asked, not to trail off topic.
