everyone give me a hand ok

taya why do your prints look like they're made of candy. i want to eat them.
the red material we use for our solidoodle (soon to be replaced by an actual professional printer) comes out as a solid color but yours looks like candy. it makes me mad. stop printing candy.

i'm thinking of getting a Solidoodle for my b-day

they're based out of Brooklyn and they seem legitimate.
they aren't the best. the engineering program at my school has one and it can be a huge butt to work with. the raft layer doesn't always want to stick to the print bed no matter what temperature you set the extruder or bed to. not sticking is bad because it'll curl up and then the extruder will hit an edge and it'll forget up the whole job.
when we first got ours we also had to spend a really long time trying to get the print bed at the proper height in relation to the extruder head. then there's also some problems where the honeycombing/infill doesn't want to print properly or it skips layers.

i dunno why we have so many problems with our solidoodle. i see a lot of other users out there who don't have these kinds of problems but w/e

Gonna patent this before someone else does. Edible candy-flavored plastic for 3D printers.

i actually don't think it would be too difficult, you'd just need a way to keep the candy from sticking to the extruder or print bed. all you'd need is material that can get hot enough to manipulate the candy.

but that would actually be a really cool idea, i've heard of people 3-d printing sugar cubes into totes cool shapes. i'd love to print off some candy to eat.

edit: sugar cubes!!!

If you can make printable candy, would you be able to print a whole meal, plate and all?

they've printed off food before

She's got a spool of crappy transparent red filament. I wish it was candy though. We ordered about 4 pounds of white solid filament

It's only a matter of time before 3D printers can make malleable materials besides plastic.

That's amazing, hopefully it won't take too long

Taya, make a 3D pixelated and blocky Mario. Come on, you can do it.
If it doesn't cost too much, can you make a 64x64 blockland cube with "BLOCKLAND" carved into it?

"Mom, when's dinner?"

"In about ten days honey."
