My vim is default vim :( I'm too lazy to customize it and even if I did I'd probably end up making it less usable and more cluttered.

Would manjaro run well on a tablet? I've recently noticed how gnome would be very good with a tablet. It has all the essentials. A graphical keyboard, (that actually looks similar to the iOS one) a grid apps menu, (also like iOS) and a volume/brightness menu in the top right of the screen. I was thinking that maybe if I get a tablet and install manjaro on it, I could use gnome to give it that tablet-like interface.

I don't think Manjaro has an ARM build, but you might be able to compile it from source for ARM processors. I'm really not sure though, I've never done anything with tablets.

Btw, I'm assuming you mean Galaxy Note-esque tablets. Not like mini computers that have touchscreens and are flat. Those should run it just fine.

I was actually thinking of installing it on one of these

And also what's an ARM build? I've never done anything with tablets either.

ARM is an instruction set for processors. It's different from and incompatible with the instruction set used for normal computers, which at this point is x86-64.

So what distrobutions are good for tablets? I would prefer having pacman and yaourt as the package managers.

IIRC Ubuntu does support touch screens and tablets pretty well.

Though, I've gotta mention, none of the packages will work because they're all compiled for x86(-64) computers. The only thing I know about that link is that it's the first result from my google search of "arch linux ARM"

This isn't spam, this is great news.

One bloatware package less in Ubuntu!

only having minor issues with unity, but I might try the new kde later
also the image messed up lol

You and your monitors.

Since Windows 8 can run on this tablet the same as it does on a computer, it might just be a small pc with a touch screen. I'll look it up to see if that's true.

anyone here like RTS games? wanna play OpenRA with me? :3

Windows 8 has arm compatible builds. Odds are your tablet has arm processors.

I know debian has arm builds as well as arm compatible packages. I bet there are more for arch than you might think.
