I've literally seen no one do that. Every person I've talked to who's gotten tattoos have gotten something that means a lot to them. It usually has something to do with family, or something important in their life. And most of them are in areas covered by clothing.
You've never seen a chick with a star tattoo or tramp stamp?
Really?

Not in person, no. You're doing the whole "judge the decisions of a few people portrayed heavily because of the fact they're bad, to reflect the entirety of the subject" kind of thing.

I think tattoos are dumb. (Same with piercings)
While there are a few exceptions, generally it's just another form of generic attention whoring.
Especially when people get fat, lose weight, or age. That nice tattoo gets all shriveled up and wrinkling.

I saw a woman decked out in black and leather with a black bandana and pentagram tattooed to her neck on the bus today.

Maybe you just never leave your house lol.

How many people with tattoos got them only after seriously contemplating the death of a loved one. Like seriously. Most of the tattoos really are generic as hell.

ew lol

There are a few tattoos that I don't mind, but 99% of tattoos annoy me. It's way too much of a commitment to make to permanently ink your skin, especially at a young age (< 30). Pizza may really symbolize your life, Nick, but is it really that important to you that you need a permanent mural of it on your skin? Plus, not to be rude, but whenever anyone saw it they would think you were dumb as forget for getting pizza tattooed on your skin.

i don't quite understand the whole "it's so unoriginal" argument

like, from my experience

this is the stuff that results from people trying to be original and unique

yes, everyone being the same could be annoying, but if i like some design that everyone else apparently happens to have, why does that matter? that's something i like, it doesn't matter to me that other people use it

just my 2 cents

Unless it's some lame ass lyric that half the world already has pasted on their skin, then feel free to bash the forget out of them.
I would stick to ... Longboarding/Snowboarding, Guitar, and maybe pizza
Oh god lol.

Just getting the tattoo is already the "everyone trying to be unique" part. There's obviously nothing wrong with just leaving your skin pure lol. If you're going to try hard and make your special snowflake statement you might as well actually think it through rather than getting a loving slice of pizza on your shoulder holy stuff op i hope you weren't being serious

I personally wouldn't get one, since I don't like the idea of staining something into my skin forever, and I could never have the committment to a design.

I also think that there are a lot of loving awful tattoos out there, which are both sloppily done, poorly chosen and badly planned.

You can get some good tattoos, which are attractive and don't dominate a persons appearance.
But I personally find these few and far between.

Almost word for word here.  I'd never get one just cause I don't really like their looks and yeah, you can't get them off without a surgical procedure.

to be quite frank, unless you have a legit valid reason for getting tattoo then it's about as good as an idea as cutting yourself from head to star fish just to get a scar that stretches from your nose to your richard.

I wouldn't get a tattoo. They're painful, permanent, hard to erase, easy to screw up and aging can mess up the original image.

Tattoos are a bad idea unless you're getting a really tiny one or having it inked somewhere concealed. Collagen degrades and your tattoo will look like stuff when it's warped and gross.

didnt think anyone would take the pizza thing seriously, I wouldn't even consider getting a pointless item such as that on my body.
