WHAT AM I SUPPOSED TO DO?!
Welcome to Invicta, the (twice voted upon) Roman era RP! The goal of this RP is to build the largest empire possible whilst keeping your homefront protected! Whoever has the largest empire (tile count) by page 150 (may be extended) will be declared the winner.
To become a faction, simply say what faction you are becoming (apologies for
the chart, but it's fairly difficult to find 80 distinct colors) or say the region and its color (eg "lime green egypt" = Ptolemaic Kingdom)
All factions start at relatively the same strength and relation, allowing for players to play their faction how they see fit.
Stack strength thing (yes, I know the difficulty reading between 4 and 5)
PLAYER LIST
(refer to chart above with exclusion of last entry for faction list)
PLAYER - | FACTION |
Badger - | Caledonia |
Nonnel - | Trinovantes |
Mikoyan - | Rome |
Tingalz - | Balts |
mlockha - | Senones |
THE NON-PLAYABLE FACTION LIST
The only faction you're not allowed to be (out of the total 78) is the unorganized tribe/barbarian/brigands/unclaimed territory marked tan

RULES
1. Battles are settled via dice roll
Example:
9 stack vs 5 stack
dice roll vs dice roll
if 9 has greater number, 5 loses 1
if 5 has greater number, 9 loses 1
battle continues until one side uses all of their dice (the stack) or if the attacker specifies how many dice they would like to send into a territory
2. You may not do anything gunpowder (it's 200 BC, guys)
3. Map edits that are not included in the OP are not final unless identified as such
4. Although you can see an enemy nation's strength, you in the RP do not know such information. Act within reason
5. Trade is allowed
6. You cannot sell/give away/donate/whatever territories
7. You may not explore the Americas
8. Naval combat will be handled similar to land battles
9. You don't need to know the history of your nation, technically. Everyone is starting with a clean slate
10. You may recruit slaves into stacks (although the stack will be designated a slave penalty, and will receive -50% value on dice rolls regardless of the stack's preexisting strength)
11. Everyone receives 5 deployable troops every turn, making the recruitment of slaves more likely, the maintenance of a large empire more difficult, and the threat of smaller nations more prominent
12. Although everyone begins at peace, you may perform historically accurate wars (such as the Second and Third Punic)
13. You may form alliances and defensive pacts and all that shenanigans
14. Relations between nations have been cleansed to an extent as well (meaning you can be friends with historical rivals)
15. The tan areas have a random value for troop strength, so be wary when settling new territories
16. You cannot RP for nations you do not control
17. Good luck and have fun!
