yes don't forget that jet engine only runs for 6 hours and will cut out if you throttle up too fast and the slow ass take off, and the manoeuvrability the spitfire has over the me-262

the rockets are terribly inaccurate as well

Air to air rockets were used for hitting the sides of a bomber. Also the If the ME-262 wasn't flying, the He-162 would be. The He-162 was a single jet engine aircraft made of wood. It was basically a last ditch effort to fight of the allied bombers. However in this universe, it is an export plane for those on a budget.
