Even if no more problems with the home-hosting happen, would you pay $4.00/month if HammerHost was still run at home?

Yes, home hosting will stabilize and become more reliable
No, I feel comfortable only with a remote dedicated server

I dont think this specifically has to do with your hosting service, but how would I make it so that when the server starts it goes to the speedkart gamemode? Its kinda aggrivating having to go to the server and change the gamemode every time i reset, and i think changing the gamemode causes a few problems
Launch it with -gamemode speedkart?

Launch it with -gamemode speedkart?
Unfortunately, only the control panel can modify the command-line options. Which means you can only use the "Custom" GameMode.
But don't worry; I will add a GameMode chooser to the control panel.
And Crispy, yes, it is my hosting service's fault.

sweet i can post and look at my chat now from my server

Sorry for this bump.
But, none of my add-ons will load onto the server, even if they are in the list.

Syntax error inside ADD_ON_LIST.cs file, or the datablock limit is being exceeded. I have already added a syntax error auto-detector and corrector. So connect with FTP, download your config/server/ADD_ON_LIST.cs, and make the file completely blank (with no add-ons), then re-upload it. After that, edit your add-ons from the control panel.

Starting to get the same problem, it was all fine 2 days ago. When I clicked the add-on list, all add-ons browsed normally. Than I disabled an add-on than applied changes and later, I host the server and no add-ons loaded. I went to check the add-on list on the control panel and than on top of the board these white messages saying, no listed add-on found for (addon name) and than makes a new add-on and enables it, and it does not work. And all I see is reduplicated add-ons which their names messed up. Any solution?

Okay, this has been solved. But this is the last straw for this stupid add-on managemt system which interacts with the file system.

In the future, I will make the add-on manager easier to use: You won't even have to worry about the filesystem. Add-ons will never be deleted unless you do it from FTP. So all you will get is a scroll pane full of add-ons which you can either enable or disable. That's the easiest I can make it.

Also, the add-on uploader will probably be removed. Somehow the web server stores the files in RAM although I am clearing the buffers properly and saving the uploaded add-ons to disk. If you want to upload an add-on, do it with FTP.

The new design will be based on the concept that filesystem-related stuff like uploading or deleting is to be done with FTP, and configuration stuff like disabling an add-on from the list or adding a new one to the list, is to be done with the c-panel.

sorry for the bump but i found a bug with the auto loading save thingy:
it loads some bricks as mine when they are really somebody elses
its happening every time the server crashes and i start it up again

Yeah, if some bricks are not yours, that means the trust issues are the fault of serverDirectSaveFileLoad(). In order to correct this, connect with FTP and browse to the "saves/HammerHost_autosaves/" folder, and download the file whose last-modified date was right before the time of the BL server's shutdown. Then load it manually by connecting to the BL server and pressing the "Load bricks" button on the main menu. Sorry but the only way to solve the trust problems are to only auto-load once a player joins. Right now bricks are loaded under he brick group of BL_ID 888888.

HammerHost, I'm getting a bug with the add-on list. I was just about to start my server (the one that's been WIP for a long time because I suck at building), but all of the add-on names are cut off after a few characters.
http://prntscr.com/3sn7pm

Refreshing again doesn't fix it, nor does deleting the add-on list config file.

EDIT: Oh dear, it doesn't appear to just be the list. All of my add-ons appear to have been renamed. I'll fix it, but do you have any idea what caused it?

Im getting this problem too ^.

Im getting this problem too ^.
Actually, I just re-uploaded all of my add-ons. HammerHost is renaming all of my add-ons, even if I delete the list first. Please fix.

Would it be possible for Hammer to put in add-ons if we send them to him?

I already solved this problem 3 days ago. Just delete both the "config/server/ADD_ON_LIST.cs" file, and all of your .zip and .ogg files, and re-upload everything again. Start on a clean slate.
Edit: There was actually a bug. But I solved and applied that now.
