Or base. There needs to be a mod where you can set capturable structures.

Things that should be included:
-Colour change bricks.
   - Set bricks that change colour, depending on the team that captures it. For flags,     banners, etc.

-Team triggers.
   - With V9 approaching, have trigger bricks only set for specific teams, mainly for artillery and security doors and such. Would need to be added in after V9 of course.

-Game modes.
   - Mainly between Round mode and like an RPG mode. Round mode would be similar to capture the flag, only you need to capture all the structures as a team. RPG mode would be more guild based. You could have the option to create your own guild or join one. Then you could take over structures for your own and withstand sieges. Would be an ongoing thing. Don't know how you'd win.

Might be fun.

This could easily be an improvement on TDM.

Truedat.

Pretty much all you have to do is somehow add the triggers for the capturing and such.

You took my idea! Truely, I was gonna work on this...

I've had the idea for quite some time, I just never bothered to post it. I'm hoping Space Guy considers adding this into his Team Deathmatch mod.

YES, EPIC WIN.

We do need a Seige game mode.

*hint hint*

Would the objective be to find and take over all enemy structures?

Maybe a 'Base' brick which lets you capture a building by standing on it for 5-6 seconds? (recolouring all connected bricks to your team's colour, changing the team spawns there to your team)

What would happen when one side 'wins' or if all of one team's spawns are converted?

Alright, I'll try to go in depth of how I wanted it.

Round Mode, would simply be like capture the flag, maybe a better example would be like Battlefield 2, only without the number of deaths to win. Basically, your team, red and blue for example, starts off with one base. There are smaller sub bases proceeding to each others bases that are capturable, and allow you to set a spawn there. Checkpoint mod maybe? Base plates would be the bricks you build on, anything on that baseplate is belongs to whichever team controls it.
Capturing would work like this:
1) The capturing team would need to step on a smaller plate (only 1 person), maybe 8x8 and control it for a set time. Can maybe be determined by mini game starter.
2) Any defenders on the plate cancel the capture, if they walk off, the timer is reset.
3) Once the base is captured, all enemy team units are killed or respawned at the closest base they control. If there are no bases they control they don't respawn.

RPG Mode, or maybe Conquest Mode, would be an ongoing thing. You would start the game, players would be asked to join or start an army/guild/etc, they would then be asked to pick a colour, from the palette of course, as well as a name for there faction. Teams would start in a random spot, maybe a default start location for each faction could be set, so spawn camping isn't too brutal. From there they would begin to take over castles. Teams would need to be saved, so that people can leave, come back and still be in there proper faction. Conditions for victory in this could be point accumulation, maybe make a score board that has the names of the teams and there current points. One team point could equal ten player kills, or half an hour of keeping the structure. You could set how many points it takes to win.

For painting the structure, maybe have a special brick paint option in the colour palette. Whatever has that colour will be switched to the controlling factions colour.

yay! capture the flag! i had that same idea the moment i started playing blockland. its one of the most common forms of play in open/emergent and first-person type games like blockland. it gives an objective to simple gameplay that could otherwise get old or tedious.

as for my exact ideas, i thought it would be easier to just draw it. :)

as you can see, ive used a team-colored brick with a flag symbol on it as the flag, but the flag could be any object, preferably something unique to avoid confusion. (like, maybe, uh, a flag??? lol)

i thought about having the flag dropped at the place where the carrier dies, then having the owning team have to return it to the beacon, but that would mean that the owning team would be able to carry it away to somewhere unknown... T_T thatd get annoying and it seems kinda unfair... so my rule is that team members cant carry their own flag.

...anyway, thats my two cents.

Did you draw that yourself? It's awesome.

I like the little guy on the horse in the bottom right, its like he's having the time of his life and is just forgetting about the gamemode, despite heads literally rolling at his feet. I also like the guy doing the matrix move in the top right of number 7, pretty cool stuff. You should do a blockland comic in that style.

Hell yes. Pls

And Junior said let there be a Blockland comic.
