Some people had a problem with Magick being nice as well and he was pretty much the nicest person here.
 I will never understand why you would hate a person who shows you kindness and respect.

Eh, that could only count for a handful of people. If they show some improvement after awhile, people should lay off. If that person has done this 20+ plus times, by all means chew them out, but it would be a major waste of time. Report, and ignore

On that racism thing by mouse and Badspot, I think it primarily goes unnoticed because the majority of the population is used to it so it goes under everyone's nose. If Badspot is willing to ban for it like he said and you're offended by it, go ahead and report them.

On topic note, I don't really find the forums to be a bad place. Sure, there are gangs that will occasionally clash, but there usually isn't any major individual bullying. Complaining about what goes on in the drama board is a different story. Its drama, it isn't supposed to be a nice place.

For moderation, I generally prefer chaos over oppression.  Sure there's some unchecked hostility, but if you crank up the moderation then the abuse just shifts towards the tattle-tail side of the spectrum.  The new way to bully people is to provoke them until they violate the rules, then report them.  You can see this a lot of games that attempt to be "kid friendly".  Also I don't even read 1% of the posts on the forum, so if something doesn't get reported then it doesn't get moderated - and people don't seem to report general richardery.

If you compare the forum to any other group of unsupervised teenagers, it's actually quite peaceful.  If you leave a real life classroom alone for a few hours the kids will physically assault each other.  There have been some remarkably successful threads - like that pixel art choose your own adventure that someone made which now I can't find.  Even controversial topics like #banbossy had some rational discussion with only a few trouble makers. 

The problem is that people are afraid of reporting because they fear they might get their reporting privileges revoked.

Because half the people here hold grudges over little things for long periods of time, causing the entire forums that have SOME grudge against each other. Other notes may be the fact you guys insult the newer users who aren't that smart, and the others are just rude to each other.
