Yeah that will be bannable for sure. If he doesn't get banned for that I would honestly be surprised.

What? Nothing about that quote is bannable?
I mean, they were discussing his dragon's richard (???), and it was a kinda lengthy discussion. I dunno what he posted before, but he changed it to just "who cares" (with the meaning "who cares this much about my richard" or something).

I don't get it.

why do people always say this? sake of innocence?

what's the point?

I think it's trying to get across a point of "Normally I can stand people being a richard, but this guy is so much of a richard that I have to drama him" or something.

I've never posted a drama topic until now.

Not quite sure about the "etiquette" for posting in the drama boards since this is basically the first time I've ever even been in here, but I'd like to say something.

OP asks
Takato14's response:Takato responds in an outright vulgar manner, where espio100 politely asked not to be rated. Kind of obvious what I'm getting at... He's a bit of a richard.

Espio is a loving stuffhead. He more than had it coming.

This shows takato's obviously trying to instigate some kind of conflict, while he states that "they're still good, but they suck ass."
I was simply expressing my opinion. The post-processing work is phenomenal, but the basework is lacking, and that holds it back imo.

Takato14 is also very passionate about his modeling and graphic skills!
How does your own ass smell, Takato?
I actually was afraid that came off as a bit pretentious. My apologies, it was not meant that way, I was just beating around the bush before getting to the part about streaming my modeling session; that was a significant event/post for me because everyone, EVERYONE used to express disbelief that I used Sketch-Up and sometimes it was rather insulting.

I have had drama topics made about me before. I'm an opinionated prick. I tend to get heated in arguments. I have high standards for artwork, and I will not censor my opinion. However, I'm never outright mean to anyone unless its retaliatory.

Take me as you will; I'm not a bad guy, and I'm sorry if I offended anyone.

I.e. his constant edits
Oh, the post editing thing is because I don't always proofread my posts before clicking the "post" button and sometimes I either typo/something doesn't read right/forget to mention something/etc.

Would've added this to my first post if post editing wasn't disabled, for example.

That was me ninja-editing so the picture I drew to illustrate my distraught would actually be seen (since that was the last post on that page).

as much as i actively hate takato for being a stuff and vehemently defending his existence as a stuff i can confirm that espio is worse

'plz no criticism' is the single most insulting thing a new content creator can say because it implies that not only are they perfect and thus require no criticism but they're perfect immediately and with no practice; and then, just to make things worse, it implies that if they aren't perfect they still don't want to improve because forget anyone who gives them advice on what to do because that's still criticism and that is explicitly something they said they don't want

it's like the scrawniest palest punk preteen kid walking into a boxing ring, putting on his gloves, challenging the biggest baddest muhammad ali-ingest person present and then saying 'this is a real fight and it is acknowledged and respected in every official term as a real fight, but you can't hit me back, ok?' and harmlessly cuffing him for the next 3 days while people who respect the sport and respect the dedication necessary to be good can't train because there's some pasty little starfish making himself look like an idiot hogging the ring

its basically accentuating the negative except in a circumstance where accentuation is what the negative wants but not what the negative needs and all that accentuation is better spent accentuating the positive

Somehow I knew you hated me, even having never directly interacted with you... but yeah, I agree 110%; your brown townogy is perfect.

I don't quite get why people are hating on takato
I'm a very polarizing person. Usually people either love me or loving despise me, with a significant tendency towards the latter and not much in between...

I thought him getting angry in that windows 7 thread was unneeded

It just really, really irks me when something gets praise it doesn't deserve. Windows 8 is a travesty, as is the current state of the portable computer market.

the reason i hate takato is because he acts like the one deviantartist in a room full of people on sketchpads

like, look at that stuff, he's still talking himself up! with ellipsis! with martyrdom! 'oh, woe is me, i knew people would dislike me but such is my fate, i must suffer for my art and prose'! there's not a single forgetin post by this guy that he isn't clearly trying to make himself out to be some sort of forsaken genius and, as a direct result, there's not a single forgetin post by this guy that isn't forgetin dripping with pretentiousness

his entire style- art, conversation, design- revolves around this ridiculous special snowflake syndrome sort of thing and seems to appeal specifically to the type of people who are like 'oh man that's so different from what currently exists!' instead of simply working his own style into the bounds that everyone else has agreed to work within. it's like showing up to a forgetin drag race with a sailboat and i can't stand the fact that he gets such a big head over such a half-assed curio-style appeal. it'd be different if the situation was like, the drawing megathread, where everyone's styles are all getting all over the place and i would be wrong to say 'no, takato, you can't continue to draw dragons in a context where you can draw whatever the forget you want' but in the case of blockland's modding community he's in the exact same crowd as the jackass who made that 'vulpine vitality' thing

who is also a gigantic deviantart fox-eared stuffbird but worse- with takato you can clearly see he has a fanbase and he's continuing to do what he does presumably because he has a niche (which he does have, i just hate his forgetin niche and everything it entails)- but midway sentinel is the only thing worse then a circlejerk, and that's a one man self-perpetuating circlejerk

i'm really just waiting for midway to die from dehydration. there is clearly nothing anyone can do for that halfwit but wait for him to burn himself out

It just really, really irks me when something gets praise it doesn't deserve

this was incredibly well timed, actually. good job on that.

I was simply expressing my opinion. The post-processing work is phenomenal, but the basework is lacking, and that holds it back imo.

See, the thing is, the manner in which you initially expressed your opinion made it sound more like an insult:

It's just a lot of boring CGI with a stuffload of post-processing and layer blending techniques.
There's simply nothing positive or helpful in that sentence.

I know that you go into more detail later on, with feedback that is more fair, but then why even make (seemingly) hateful statements in the first place?

It's not at all hard to express your thoughts and opinions without sounding hostile. You even did it in this thread:

The post-processing work is phenomenal, but the basework is lacking, and that holds it back imo.

'oh, woe is me, i knew people would dislike me but such is my fate, i must suffer for my art and prose'!
... That was, not, at ALL, the attitude I had behind that statement.

I'm fine with you hating me, but hate me because I'm a stubborn, belligerent douchebag who always thinks his opinion is the only opinion and everyone else is wrong, not because you think I'm stuck up and pretentious. I'm not that way, at all, and people like that irritate the loving stuff out of me.

I know that you go into more detail later on, with feedback that is more fair, but then why even make (seemingly) hateful statements in the first place?
I was a bit miffed from earlier in that thread, completely unrelated. Sorry, sometimes my attitude isn't the greatest.

Really?

Maybe before, when I was making pointlessly intricate eyesores that clashed with literally the entirety of the game and had nothing unique about the way they functioned, but now? You really think I haven't gained a shred of maturity as an artist? The last three weapons I've worked on have had more effort put into them than almost all of my previous work combined. I've seriously put over 72 hours of work into the new model for the Shining Laser, I've been working on it for weeks, constantly rethinking and reworking the design and execution, trying to get its as absolutely perfect as possible without making it a clusterforget of ugly intricacy. I've never worked on something so hard in my entire life, and I'm still less than halfway done with the damn thing.

Before I used to deny the existence of those stylistic boundaries you mentioned and just model whatever loving way I felt like, but it's been literally two years since I last did that, and I now realize how handicapped and stubborn that was. Games are not supposed to be a fragmented collection of out-of-place weapons and vehicles, they're one singular cohesive experience and should be entirely homogeneous, and I've been trying very hard to right the wrongs in my Add-Ons in hopes of achieving that sense of stylistic consistency.

Maybe I'm wrong; I literally just came back to the game and it's very plausible that you haven't even seen my most recent work, and in that case I'll give you the benefit of the doubt, but I won't just sit idly by and let you stuff all over my hard work. It is the very antithesis of "half-assed", and you sir, are an starfish for suggesting such a thing.

Looks like trolls have been superseded by self-loving bastards.
