Author Topic: what is it like to be in a public school  (Read 3100 times)

Full of complete idiots.

Same routine. Every. DAY. It gets boring and repetitive, even with friends around. They sometimes throw in field trips (depending upon the school) that you have to pay for, to make it seem less monotonous. But get used to that rut sonny, because you're going to be living in it for a long time.

Coming from a newer high school, it's really full of people who you have to be JUST LIKE them in order to be "cool" or else your outcasted. Males are usually the gangster type and don't care about anything, and the females are usually whores. But if you step out of the cancerous social bubble and stumble upon the nerds, they're not bad at all.

Side note: My high school is a thing called an Education Village; one of the only ones of it's kind to date. It's an Elementary, an Intermediate, and a High school put into one, massive building. Here it is on Google Maps: https://www.google.com/maps/place/Clear+Creek+ISD+Education+Village/@29.5099546,-95.0253804,992m/data=!3m1!1e3!4m2!3m1!1s0x0:0xbb9177af5e2b8ef5

Probably has more; but that's all I see really.

I don't think that knowing all the cliques in a high school and at that rate HUGE ass school, is really required as long as you find people you get along with.

Personally I hate school, it honestly kills my mood. I don't know why but I just cannot be happy when I'm in school, I feel an inner rage just thinking about the place. I try to enjoy it, but I just can't. I feel like I'm locked away from lifes potential during school hours, I don't know, I just hate it. All the assignments also feel mindless, and seem to serve no purpose other than to be tedious and annoying. One of my school projects is to literally collect blank sheets of paper and label the sheets, what significance does this give to me? What am I learning here? The education system seems to value grade percentages more than actually learning (the same system show nothing about your intelligence in my opinion), and most the stuff we do is test preparation.  If these 4 years are supposed to be the best years of my life then I'm quite fearful for what the future holds. I hate to be negative, but it's just how I feel. Glad to see others enjoy it at least :/

i live in sort of a "privileged neighborhood" so i dont really know the public school experience

there's the most popular guy and girl, a fat rich jew and a bitch who every dude thinks is hot (but who gets terrible grades lel). Tons of forgetin weirdos.

overall a breddy gud life. Although i went to private school for my first 4 years.

expect starfishs and cringeworthy people
^^^
pretty much this
also the school try to do "fad" stuff that just ends up to be cringe central to people like us who know how annoying it is.
memes and such
like for example my school did this dumb harlem shake thing last year and they made us participate in it.
I'm unusually quiet (not from homeschooling, I was like that beforehand too) so it is sometimes awkward when you aren't the outgoing one. Public school is so far dumbed down IMO too. I do probably about 20% of the work I did as a homeschooled student and run As through every class.
you learn to hate everyone
a stuffty social gathering for stuffty people
i hate public school

"I am the only smart person on earth capable of self-independent thought. No one understands me because everyone around me is lowly-intelligent ape or degenerate human. Also talking to people is a repulsive act, which is something I refuse to do."

Harm, I hope you know you're responding to a bunch of pubescent children. Including myself. Nobody's gonna feel like they fit in.

Hey, fun fact, not everyone is egotistical.

everyone is a total richard

I was a kid too once and I went through that phase once myself, but trust me, your classmates will either grow up and wisen up quickly once they reach highschool. Those that don't usually pay for it deeply later in life. By the time you make it to college you will be going to school with people who want to better themselves and have the will to learn. Every once in awhile you run into some left overs from highschool, but those people usually drop after a few semester.

However its unhealthy to hate people, and getting to the habit of hating people is not a good way to go through life. You just have to learn to make the best of a situation.

I don't think they really hate the people at their school, honestly. I used to, then i realized that was loving stupid. They'll get out of it eventually.

You are right here, though. I just don't think they're self-glorifying neckbeards yet.
