Well it's pretty dead and I doubt I can take over the project alone.

Pretty loving impossible.

Please tell me what is impossible about it. It would be entertaining to hear.

  • Hundreds of different items that all do different things, have different sounds, and look different
  • Atmospherics system
  • The roleplaying nature
  • Hairstyles
  • Probably will take a ridiculous amount of time to do unless you have some 300 legionnaire coders
  • Will take up ridiculous amount of space
  • Construction and destruction
..and so much more.
it would certainly be possible but it would be really damn hard to do.

Items do not need to have unique images. SS13 shares sounds for a lot of things.

How is it impossible to make? SS13 has it. Why can't Blockland?

Not much more difficult to implement than a basic chatbot.

I don't see it taking a long time if you actually code semantically.

What will? The build? Not really. The gamemode? I've made bigger add-ons.

You're just pointing out features without saying why they would be impossible to make.

I have to agree with port; it's entirely possible to make. Would it have a long download time? Probably. Would it work exactly like SS13? Probably not. But, would it be close enough to still be fun and similar to SS13? Definitely.

i'm just saying its going to take up lots of space and would be really hard to make

some more reasons this would take ages/be nearly impossible

Space station 13 is 2-d, blockland isn't.

health system (suff/tox/burn/brute)

chemistry system (unless we're talking about /tg/, but then, that's still pretty loving complicated).

thinkdos would be hard as balls to replicate, along with all the other computers.

bomb system

construction system

z-levels (unless we're gonna have one map with seamless transitions, but that would be pretty lame. if you've ever played ss13 before you know why.)

pods

NPCs

CLOTHING. Like seriously, clothing is half the game. How are you going to implement all those different clothing slots into blockland?

zero gravity, space wind, jetpacks and space suits.

blockland has a datablocks limit, you know. (unless there's some super secret haxor way to disable the limit that i don't know about.)

but mind you, i'm not completely against this idea. if someone actually pulled it off and pulled it off well, that would be pretty loving sweet.

Whoops. That's an old version of an old thing which I'm not working on. Speaking of it though, I did make a build of the Boxstation map using the custom bricks in that, which was 100% accurate down to each individual tile.

This isn't SS13, it's blockland.
All they're asking for is a recreation of SS13 in blockland.
This doesn't mean you need every little detail of SS13 in blockland.
