By boot I meant to say start Windows. I tried that once and it would just give off errors.
Then you did something wrong.If you do it right, the most that will happen is Windows being like "hey this computer looks different you need to reactivate your installation" which is just a few clicks
Isn't it impossible to boot from a drive that was on a different motherboard?
Just install Debian Linux and tell Windows to shatter itself up.
