Author Topic: apple is prob. goin to buy beats..  (Read 5686 times)

Beats are to headphones as Starbucks is to coffee. They both pay you lodsemone for sutff that you'd find easily in the 99 cent store.

It's because macs and beats are status items. They display to others that you are cooler because you have something that looks cooler and works differently.

dont try to drown in hipsters apple

High-end specifically refers to expensive products -- not high quality ones. Beats are low quality high end headphones.

Well, at least in some areas like cameras and computer parts, high-end is actually high-end because those sectors aren't as mainstream, so you normally wouldn't be paying just for looks, though they do make high end GPU's look better than low end ones (also because they have to for cooling and etc.) for example.

High-end usually correlates with high quality, but not always. For example, Grey Goose vodka always tests in the last place of blind taste tests with cheaper vodkas, despite being one of the most expensive vodkas widely shelved.

i heard this in history, and i was like "i feel like the only one who thinks beats are terrible"

i got flamed by a bunch of hipster cigarettes
(AKA people who bring their beats in class..)

i can probably buy an 80 dollar headset and it'll be the same quality as them.
I bought a 50 dollar headset that is better than that

I really can't tell a super large difference between Beats and my normal 30$ headphones. The difference, if any, is not enough to drop more money. Or maybe I'm just bad at being musically inclined.

Might as well. They already have the market of electronic stupid hipsters who love to overpay for lesser specs.

It seems like a smart move to me, considering Beats brought in a whopping 1.2B last year in revenue.

and watch that go down in flames once they raise the prices, which seems a guarantee

Beats have inferior sound quality to most $50 headsets.
