I'm interested in more of the competitive side of gaming now, what games should I look into playing? I know the obvious CS:GO, League, Starcraft.. I just want something me and my 3 or 4 friends can play against other teams.

Fighting games have a much smaller competitive scene, but they're pretty active in California.

And if you think competitive FPS (or ANYTHING) is "simple," you've got another thing coming. You don't just say "I'M INTERESTED IN COMPETITIVE GAMING" and then go "oh but I want to play like a casual."
