You can easily save a few bucks by taking out a CD/DVD drive from one of your old computers. As long as it can read DVDs, it's good.
Yeah I'll probably use the Acer's drive then
Edit: Also if you can find an AMD Radeon HD 7770 or HD 7850, those are some pretty good GPU cards for cheap prices. I have the HD 7850 and it works great, I can play most games on really good settings.
Can you play Blockland and stuff with good shaders and it won't lag much?
I have the exact same case in my basement; I threw together a crappy build with it and hosted socket servers for some of my programming experiments a while back. It's just sorta sitting there now.
If you're looking to build a PC, I can help with that. I have quite a bit of experience with building them, especially on a budget.
Cool, any tips you have I would be glad to hear
I made my computer case out of legos with all the sockets and stuff, i had to sacrifice a few legos for screws but it was worth it
it was hard as forget too
it broke after a month tho
Wow, I have never heard of that being done. Lol did it fall off your desk and shatter?
A good website to build your desktop is gamepc.nl The website is dutch but its very VERY cheap. For what you get.
I got mine there too.
This is my "old" PC.
Is a great one too!
How great was it?
Here's the good stuff, this is the Acer:

The fan looks kinda gross

We used to pop this battery in and out when the computer wouldn't boot up until one Saturday morning when I was playing Blockland and the power went out. It hasn't turned on to this day

Here's the Compaq

I don't mean to cross post but here's my incomplete parts list (if I need them)
