are you really comparing the 3ds with the virtual boy
They're very similar in many regards. They were both supposed to improve the gaming experience. They both were pretty cool at first. They both caused everyone to get headaches. They both fell out of use 15 minutes after people started using them.

Unless they have wipers on them I don't see how they're gonna do anything about dirt that doesn't require a ton of maintenance. Then on top of this people being people they'll just go out and vandalize and break them for fun.
they have a built in heating system thing or something to help melt snow, so I wouldn't be surprised if they had things for dust. But I don't know.

The 3D on the 3DS is inconvenient. It must be held at a specific angle and length from your face and its usually a REALLY uncomfortable position

I don't find the position uncomfortable, just inconvenient.
I bought the 3DS knowing I likely wouldn't use the 3D very often. I bought it because it was their newest handheld console, so I could play the games that would be on it.

But the Virtual Boy's 3D is always on
At least with the 3DS there's the option of turning it off so you can play your games without headaches

I find it loving retarted whenever that say "cuts greenhouse gasses".
The forget does that even mean?

it means it creates energy without emissions...? not hard to figure out

Wouldn't the current roadways have to be torn down?

Wouldn't the current roadways have to be torn down?
well, yeah, but that happens when they're repaved anyway, so it doesn't really make any difference

People go out and vandalize things already. Thats a stuffty argument. "People will vandalize them" well no stuff sherlock, thats why they are composed of replaceable segments. If one gets damaged you don't need to repave the whole road, just replaced the damaged ones.

Well most super expensive things that can be easily destroyed aren't the road. I never said you have to replace the whole road, but once cell is still really expensive. This is just a stupid idea, I really doubt they can build a solar cell that is durable enough to be a road surface and pay for itself in it's lifetime. Working on more efficient and cheaper cells so we can have widespread use on houses and other available spaces is a much better idea.

I did my final presentation for EEP on this last semester, very interesting subject.

off topic, but what would you guys think of buying stocks in oculus?

well, ignore that chart
I was looking it up a minute ago and found out that Oculus Innovative Sciences is a biotech company, so
what we're talking about is OVTZ, apparently, not OCLS

and it's only 13 cents right now. so if you were gonna buy stock in it, I guess now would be good, assuming you believe it's gonna go up enough for it to be worth it to you

i think it's at least worth researching, because the research involved in making this happen would be beneficial more generally

maybe they'll find out a cheaper way to make solar panels, and regardless they'll have to find out how to make better ones

research is how progress happens, and i'm all for that, even if the road thing never happens

We are about to wrap up our Phase II contract (to build a prototype parking lot) and now need to raise funding for production.

The one million is ONLY to build a single parking lot prototype and do more testing.
