Getting a part time job through college is definitely a good idea because it gives you some work experience. But with the disproportional increase between living expenses and wages, moving out with a part time job, which will most likely be at or slightly above minimum wage, even with another person doing the same, isn't as feasible anymore
she
Whoops.
like I said, you don't know anything about him
you can't say what is or what isn't acceptable
my grades don't matter to me. all that I care about is graduating and being able to get a job that could provide the necessities for me
it doesn't matter why I feel that way. it's none of your business unless I want to share it with you. but if you tell me that I have no future because I'm not living up to your standards, you are definitely being mean and judgmental
People with low grades don't get as high paying jobs, or have a harder time finding them, as people with high grades.
Not caring about your grade is a bad habit to get into that will hurt you if you continue it in college.
Perhaps they way I worded my original statement was harsh, but these statements aren't me passing any sort of judgement at all. They're facts of life. It has nothing to do with my standards, it's the employer's standards. Employers don't want to hire someone with low grades when they can hire someone with high grades. Employers don't want to hire someone that has demonstrated that they don't want to even try to perform even averagely
But here is something judgmental: If all he has to do to raise his grade on this assignment is change the poll options to less silly ones, then he'd be stupid not to.
Also if you settle for a D, it doesn't take much for that to drop to an F, and that'll really hurt you by requiring you to retake the class, which will cost you financially in college
I haven't really heard of employers that require your transcripts. They usually just ask for a high school degree if that's the requirement.
Not transcripts, but being able to listing a high GPA on your resume will help you more than listing a low/no GPA
