WWDC 2014 keynote just ended, and here's the new things:

"Huge for developers.
Massive for everyone else."

"Every bit as powerful as it looks."

"Swift is an innovative new programming language for Cocoa and Cocoa Touch.
Writing code is interactive and fun, the syntax is concise yet expressive, and apps run lightning-fast.
Swift is ready for your next iOS and OS X project — or for addition into your current app — because Swift code works side-by-side with Objective-C."

did they run out of felines to name their systems?

Finally OS X is getting with it. It's about time they start giving it the new look. It's a good OS, but it's not worth paying $600 more that any sane person would pay.

I like how the messenger works in tandem with your iPhone or whatever.
Would make for much easier texting to the parents.

Swift looks like Objective C raped JavaScript and they had a disgusting baby.

i dont like the look of OS X at all
it seems like apple is just playing catch up with the dumb "flat and minimalist EVERYTHING" fad

Does anyone else absolutely hate any scripting language that doesn't use ;'s?

It looks overcomplicated. Can't even get an idea what this code is supposed to do.

oh my god oh my god os x yosemite looks so beautiful.

and again, i'll never have any of these things :(

Doesn't look that bad to me. Looks way better than Obj. C and JavaScript.

Looks nice, but probably doesn't function any different from previous versions.

Also, OS X Yosemite will be available for public beta test, but not iOS 8.

It wont be "available" for public like last year, but yeah there is a beta available right now on dev center

I'm excited for iOS 8 I guess! but I don't have a Mac
