There are dozens of other factors at play here, its not just about gun ownership. The number of guns owned does not make anyone safer. All the people that were killed in the shootings could have still owned guns and been killed. Its clear that there is something about the United States that produces this sort of behavior because compared to any other place in the world it happens way more here in the US.

I don't think "ban guns" is really the logical way to go. It's not going to do anything, we just want to make it harder for regular people to get guns. You do know not everyone buys a gun with criminal intention? Even if they do commit a crime, it was possibly not their first intention in buying the weapon.
