Author Topic: 796 Dead Babies found in Septic Tank near Ireland Orphanage  (Read 2265 times)

This is actually nowhere near as concerning as I thought it was going to be. In the 1920s through '60s, an underfunded orphanage operated that couldn't afford to treat illness among its orphans. When they died, they just threw them in a mass grave. It's not like they intentionally killed 'em, so who cares what happened to their bodies after that. It's not like they mutilated them.

Now, if this was far more recent, then it would be concerning. I found it more interesting than disgusting honestly.

this baby 'aint lookin' too good
to the tank you go, youngster

from the 1920's to 1960's i dont think that they would of had very strict burial laws in the 40 year period...

Looks like someone's humanity flew out the window...

This is the part that really bothers me:
Quote
The home was closed in the 1960s but in 1975 two boys were playing close to the site when they discovered partially broken concrete slabs covering a hollow – a disused septic tank, which had been in use prior to the 1920s when the building was a workhouse.

The boys broke the concrete and discovered a hole "filled to the brim with bones".

TUNE IN NEXT WEEK FOR....

In all honesty, this is the type of thing that I don't really like the Catholic religion (don't give me stuff calling it Christianity, whatever it is, I don't care).  They are probably some of the least tolerant people out there.  Although I don't believe in "TOLERANCE" and "COEXIST" bandwagons, this is really getting out of hand (not implying it's recent or anything).

they should of mushed em up to make juice

Its a dead and gone situation. All of the adults involved are most likely dead or extremely old

This is the biggest reason why I think these child neglect charges they're being faced with are stupid.
The second being I don't think the way you treat someone after they're dead can count as neglect

So if your younger sibling died you would be okay with your parents tossing them down in a septic tank?

Person with a family who actually lived and made relationships =/= baby with no family who cared

This happened so long ago. Anyone who could possibly be found guilty is already dead, or very close to
