IIRC, that port like most games was made by a separate company, and it was the third party who fudged it badly.

Seeing as the consoles and PC are now on essentially the same architecture, I assume they did everything inhouse and they've nailed it perfectly.

Max Payne 3 and LA Noir were generally good ports, so I doubt it would be a gigantic clusterforget at launch. There will always be problems with games at launch, and I really dont understand why peope bitch so much. No product is perfect. (Except Super Metroid)
