Yeah this system is stupid. Let people play whatever character they want. The point of this is to see how good everyone can get in a week. By letting them play characters they're comfortable with they can get better with them faster.
Uh.. Multiple people can be Mario. I'm just saying the raffle is for if there is a mario on mario battle and the person wants to feel comfortable in some way with specific colors he plays with, which would give players options to feel better around their surroundings. Color may not matter but if you can spot yourself over another Mario that's good, because I know I've been screwed over multiple times thinking the other person playing the same character because I wasn't used to putting on different costume on.
