While I am all for competitive play and I think it's cool and awesome and stuff. It still baffles me that people would limit their character to choices to tier lists. Any character can be amazing depending on how you play them.

Most people don't pick characters based on tier lists. If they do they're misguided, because tier lists are totally theory. Essentially it's "if this character was played with perfect execution, how well would it fair against the rest?" which is why they're really only applicable at the highest level of play IMO

Agreed, In all cases, the player shows their skill at smash, not the character.
