I haven't found it out either, for me it's just varying between 30 and 39 coins

It's definitely not based on KO's. I just got 19 KO's in a single match and only got 42 coins.

I won a match against 3 level one computers and got around 37 coins, then won again 3 level nine computers and got 31 coins. I'm really not sure how it is judged

I'd rather start fresh when I get a new game. Having a stuff ton of coins (I am assuming the coins do something) right when I start the game doesn't seem very fun to me.

yeah I agree, it wouldn't be that great starting the game already having around 15000 coins piled up.

yeah, but earning them this way in the demo is really boring. just 30 - 40 coins from playing 2-minute timed mode. there will probably be improvements on the coin system and better ways to earn them on the finished game.

i've gotten up to 81 from a 1v1 with a level 9
then again, all i do is 1v1 level 9's
