Author Topic: If you could create whatever kind of game you want, what would it be?  (Read 2757 times)

I did something like this in the past but I can't be bothered to look for it or put "v2" in the title. So...

Idea #Uno:
I had this idea in the past in that one topic, an FPS in a Virtual Reality chamber.(In the game, not in real life) You could change a lot of things, and whenever you died it would malfunction and change everything. For example you could be shooting cowboys in Asia with laser weapons, then you die and suddenly you're fighting Russians on the moon with a portable cannon.

Idea #2:
I thought of this one recently since I've been playing a lot of racing games. A racing game with racing cars like F1, WTCC, NASCAR, and all that stuff, that plays out like a racing sim, but with a big twist. Mario-kart like items. Yeah. Things like Rockets, Boost, Repair, and well things like that. The cars will still have damage that affects the car. Normal racing rules apply.(other than the fact your shooting each other with various items) And you'll still have gas and tire wear to worry about. You'll be able to race on the real-world tracks like Monaco, Nürburgring Nordschleife, Daytona Speedway, etc. Or, create a track with a built-in track editor. You can also customize the cars. Up to 100 cars (!) can race at once, depending on the track that is.

So, tell your dream game that you would make.

fighting dev game where you can play as tim schafer, gabe newell, miyamoto and others, and you have to fight against the evils of david cage and peter molyneux and the other devlords of the military shooter industrial complex

Idea #Uno:
I had this idea in the past in that one topic, an FPS in a Virtual Reality chamber.(In the game, not in real life) You could change a lot of things, and whenever you died it would malfunction and change everything. I would play this, if someone pulled it off.

Something like LittleBigPlanet that utilized Steam Workshop, but added more custom content; uploading models and textures, custom stickers and audio, actual 3D (not layers; possible toggle option), and scripting support. Imagine the community content of Gmod crossed with the gameplay and creativity LBP.

Something like a cross between the Civilization series, Minecraft and an "FPS".  Everything would play out starting with an Adam and Eve situation – supposing there were two humans only, and from there buildthe Earth from the bottom up, though you would be able to take on a VERY LARGE amount of roles, and it requires a little of each to win.  For instance, kingdoms would rise and fall.  You could see it from a bird's eye view or from the view of a civilian in a city that is being seiged, or as a soldier defending the wall.  In the midst of economic turmoil, start a secret political movement to gain public opinion, and then radically change the country.  During natural disasters, launch relief programs to help to save the area.  Everything would be hyper-realistic.  The Earth would literally grow starting from the base of humanity, and you guide humanity through its processes in order to ensure survival, and to steady the development of humanity to guide them amongst the stars.  You wouldn't have to do everything, though.  If it's time for Italy to enter the Renaissance, but you're more concerned with the sociopolitical events changing in the Middle East, then Italy won't wait for you; additionally, you may want Mexico to be the place where the Renaissance starts– it's all your choice.

I would imagine a game like this would take decades to make, and would likely require a computer or console (preferably computer) that would be fitted for this, and only this game.

I've always wanted to make my own MMORPG

A Godzilla game where you can play as a ton of monsters (including godzilla duh) and either fight others or destroy cities

however the buildings have physics so like you can use your laser or w/e and cut a building in half and that top half falls off (or it collapses the remaining building under it)

and then a god game where you can make your own city or get a prebuilt and see how long it can stand itself while YOU throw disasters at it. the disasters would be things like natural disasters (tornadoes, earthquakes, hurricanes, etc.) or with non-natural disasters (riots, strikes, things like that)

the cities would react in different ways to different things, most people have their own thought, like trying to rebuild lost buildings, etc.

however you can't really directly control your city after it's built, you can make it or edit it in a map-editor type thing.

a skyrim-like space game where you can actually fully create a spaceship and command it

Uh, Unreal Engine 4? Or essentially every Game-Creation tool (Unity, GameMaker etc...)?

i would make a game about blocks and building and name it bloxland

Space exploration game about recruiting allies and taking over other sectors either with violence or negotiations.

A really good Sonic game.
Or Majora's Mask 3D

Something like No Man's Sky.
