damn, you guys are creeps
we spook the spooks out of the spookings

Literally who gives a forget what gender they are? It's not like they've committed a national crime for lying about being a girl.

This issue obviously isn't that serious, but the chance to make yourself look like a super mega awesome forum detective is much too hard to pass up, right?
QFT

Thirty six pages about the gender of an individual that over half of you probably don't even know on an acquaintance level.

Except I don't because I don't give a stuff if people want to try and lie to me. If they're lying to me then they obviously have some reason to do so, good or bad it doesn't matter. So long as their lies don't begin to affect me or cause me to act in a way that I would not otherwise then they can lie to me all they want and, if they want, I'll let them be whoever they're trying to be.

Pie Crust not being whatever gender they claim to be affects literally nobody here in any way besides Flatflyer, to the rest of us they're the same person regardless of whether or not they're Male or Female.

Anonymity does strange, strange things to people.

But now we can hate Pie Crust because of his bad photo editing skills.

Kinda scrubby how only one guy says he doesn't care and then 10 more show up freeloading the good samaritan boat.

what's funny is they all have really dumb reasons for why they don't care

'this doesn't matter to anybody'
in fact, let me just explain why that is wrong. It does matter, because if people start lying about their gender, they start getting ideas that they can lie about other things, too. Take a good look at skullcandy for example. He decided that he was going to try and pretend he's female when he first got here, and he ended up banned, and now what's he doing?
Stealing art and claiming it as his own.

Do you really want more people to end up like that because everyone said 'oh it's not a problem it won't effect anybody'?
I certainly don't, because then this place turns into even more of a stuffhole, and it gets a bad reputation for everyone being liars and everyone else on the forums being okay with it.
You people really don't seem to think there's any consequences at all for lying, on either side. What if someone said he was 18, but was really 11, and he got invited to do something for 18+ people only by a friend? What do you think would happen?
Think about that for a minute before you go and say that lying about something doesn't matter.

No, that one guy has argued that same point for a while now. It's just the length of the topic that bothers me, really.

That's the thing, it only could lead to lying about other things, or doing more than just lying. It's the same logic as saying that violet video games will influence people to actually go out and steal stuff / kill people. It's only an issue once they're actually harming others, directly or indirectly.

In this case, it only affects Flatflyer, and should be resolved between them accordingly, but to the rest of us it's not an issue at all. In SkullCandy's case, him lying about his gender is about as big as an issue as Pie Crust doing it, and his art thief cases were dealth with accordingly. You can't antagonize people for what they might do.

omfg this thread is so win

There's a vast ocean of difference between simply telling a lie and outright stealing something that does not belong to you. If an 11 year-old who pretended to be 18 got invited to do something for ages 18 and up then he'd arrive, demonstrate, in one way or another, that he is actually 11 years old and then be excluded and ostracised by the people who were his friends. In that situation said friends would've been affected by his lies and would be perfectly justified in reacting to it.
