Is that the new programming language that apple came up with?

No, It's Objective-C

and you heard wrong.  Swift is actually fantastic to write in.  Saves a lot of time compared to Objective-C's old ways.
Once XCode 6 is released as a stable build, I'll be writing in it full time instead of Objective-C

this counts for something right?

Debian is based on Linux, so it counts.

you mean like tab completion? of course. i just prefer to use zsh over bash because its a lot more colorful and configurable

Tab completion isn't the same as aliases. In bash you can do this:
Code: [Select]
alias shutdown='shutdown now'
That makes it so that if I type "shutdown" it will actually run "shutdown now".
And you can make combinations of commands with && too.
Basically custom commands that run other commands.

why would you use && instead of just ; ?

Anyways yes I can do things like that

Anyone know how to change the font of the command line in Linux (arch)?

I use a size 10 font in urxvt, so its wierd to see a size 12 on startup (I don't use a graphical display manager) or when I'm not in a DE.

why cant linux have better support

Ubuntu has amazing support if you're using that.
