I'm all for RP, but you have to remember that at the end of the day it's a game. with goals. Sometimes you will have fun at the expense of another player's fun, and sometimes someone will have fun at the expense of yours. That's just the nature of the game. Just because you aren't happy about the way you died doesn't mean you should adminhelp it.
There's a line in between that nobody seems to realize exists. Yes, people will have fun at the expense of other people, but there's a point where things are too "play to win" for a roleplay server - Aiming
solely to win is not the point of antagonists on roleplaying servers, the point is to make the round, I quote, "interesting," for as many people as possible.
In other words, parapen-stripping-tossing-a-dude-into-space is stuffty and no fun to anyone but yourself. The guy has no interaction except "ur ded loel" and generally no one's going to find this naked body mysteriously and silently tossed into space.
Also, you know what's fun? Making demands! Take the Captain hostage or some stuff and then execute his dumb ass when security ignores your demands and tries gunning you down (which they will, unfortunately!)
Anyway, I'm aware I may as well be talking to brick walls about this, I just enjoy desperately trying to beat into people's heads "this can be fuuuun damn yoooou." Though it's also usually into people who join and demand to stay on the server and forget up despite not liking how the server works (which are the people I actually have problems with), so, meh, whatever! :P
Also: "Losing" can be fun, especially in a roleplaying game, though I'm aware it's not 100% possible all the time. Wherever I can toss that in the above paragraphs.
I'm not sure if Bay has the "no hurt feelings" rule, but I'm just discussing RP servers in general.
Pff no, even the staff are asshats both ICly and OOCly.
Also the only time I ever banned people for being bigots ICly is if they're begging for attention with it.
Making "friend" or "monday" literally every second word is stupid as stuff.
