Woahh Hold your horses. I'm not trying to start anything with you.
You just loving insulted me. Of course you're trying to start stuff.

Welp, sorry you feel that way bro, but I didn't insult you. I'd rather you not start an argument lmaoo.

It's true, and he's just a little kid.

If you don't know how to program a control panel, do not start a public hosting service.
I personally don't know how to, but i have a friend who has made me a decent Minecraft Cpannel

How's that an insult? Mr Queeba and Toxicology are kids too. What's your point here?

You should help em' out if he's gonna be dedicated enough Hammer. The more hosting services the better.

Im very confused  :panda:
You could always just host a server for friends with their desired addons, etc. if they need it. You don't need to create some advanced hosting service unless it's like a long term thing for multiple people.

Stop talking about stuff you know nothing about.
I see you added a valuable point that both answered the op in a nice manner and corrected flaws in another users post. By saying "Stop Talking about stuff you know nothing about" than you are contradicting yourself, seeing how you have no idea about posting answers. So yes, please stop talking about things you don't understand enough to educate other users about.

Besides that point some routers come with pre-programmed filters to try and filter out ddos attacks. I also found this post about different ways to protect yourself from ddos attacks.

The games are completely different. You will need to do heavy modification of that Minecraft c-panel, which means you need to know some computer programming.

I'm worried it's not going to be a private hosting service.

That may be true but if the hacker is very determined, they will just spam you with a flood of spoofed UDP packets. The intention of that is because they have faster Internet than you.

Glad to see I'm not the only one ticked off by that post.
I wouldn't be ticked off if he noted what exactly was wrong about the post. Also if he made any effort to answer or contribute towards an answer for the OP

There's no way blocking ICMP is going to protect you from a DoS. In fact, blocking requests on any port will not help if the attacker has more upload speed than your download speed.

I found the error in my ways because hammer (Not Subpixel) made a clear post explaining the error.

Glad to see I'm not the only one ticked off by that post.
Yes, I was also not happy with that post because it doesn't even correct the mistake and help. It just says "No! You're not right, so zip it".

This is a strange question but im buying a second copy of blockland for servers (Not hosting). Should i buy it on my server pc or my gaming pc. Basically can I but it o my laptop and put it on my server PC?
