This is a strange question but im buying a second copy of blockland for servers (Not hosting). Should i buy it on my server pc or my gaming pc. Basically can I but it o my laptop and put it on my server PC?

Why do you need a second one? You can run as many Blockland servers as your like on the same product key.

I have the steam version and its on sale so what the hecK!

Would hosting password protected servers limit any ddosers?

No.

Multi millionaires can't even prevent it. I've seen many large companies and games harmed by DDoSes.
you can prevent it. its called having gigantic and powerful servers. aka google.

Can still be DDoS'd

Then how do the Asholes get the IP?

Passwording a Blockland server does nothing to hide the IP address. It's still on the master server.

What if you made your IP aynonmous?

There's no way to do this for any kind of server. If you want to run a server, your IP address will have to be public.

Your home IP address will not be revealed as a result of hosting a server using Amazon's cloud servers. Of course, the cloud server's IP address will be revealed to pretty much anyone.

The only problem with easily available real IP addresses of home users is that they might get DoS/DDoS'd. People can't just instantly hack you or usually know exactly where you live just by having your IP address. Your address is available to all of  the servers and websites you use every day so don't worry about it too much.
