i should get virtualpc going since virtualbox doesn't like win98 :(

Probably Windows XP. I remember a green start button and I never had the pre-XP start menu.

Not entirely sure. I think it was XP.

i used to always get stuck with the oldest computer in the house so i probably had to use something like windows 98 for a while
it was probably back around when windows xp just came out though

it looks very similar to japanese kanji
because kanji and hanji/whatever they use in chinkland are very similar
it's just hiragana that looks different because it's a simplified alphabet (which chinese doesnt have)
