I probably won't be able to get a promotion if you keep stalling by getting shot down.

I need to change my callsign though.
You will. I legit did not see that SAM strike. It won't happen again. Besides, even if I hadn't been shot down, no one would have been given a promotion. This mission was way too small.

"Thanks." I say before I do some high-g maneuvers in order to lose the J-20 on my tail, all the while trying to get Steele a good target or just try to fire on the bandit myself.

I've seen better descriptions

When is CO going to finally get pissed that so many planes were lost because of this squadron. :)

Losing even 3 jets is not something that can just be written off as a casualty, you mongoloid!

considering asking for a transfer to a less-experienced squadron because mlockha wrecked the most expensive real-life fighter in the thread

(somebody removed the F-22 from the aircraft list :V)

F-22 is too advanced for T2 anyways so bluh

"Well, let's get going." I open the door for the Captain and follow her on the street, momentarily looking at the illuminated buildings all around us before closing the door behind me.

you can skip to whatever if you want to get this conversation going faster :V
like after the love

At the range, which is more of a shooting gallery with live ammunition, the Captain sets down her pistol on the counter. She takes off her noise-cancelling headphones casually, as though expending 45 rounds is routine, and expending 45 rounds incredibly accurately is no big deal. She stretches a little, looking over at you. She seems to be curious about what you thought of her performance, and whether or not you'd like to have a try.

not
simon deserved it

"So, tell me your stories, Raiden team? Any particularly fun missions?"

"Not particularly," Erwin butts in, "There's always the risk of getting shot down and exploding, something you evidently have firsthand experience wit-"
"Erwin."
"Come on it's still true."
"So rude."

Simon stumbles into a hospital room where a female nurse in pearly white clothes is standing next to a hospital check-up bed with a first aid kit in her hand.
"Hello sir, what may be the problem?"
"Oh, uh, I got, like, thrown. By that blonde f-firebrand standing outside in the park. Yes she t-threw me on concrete. Yes it hurts. Very, very, very, much."

Well this is embarrassing.

She shakes her head, looking rather disappointed that such a large person would get their ass beat by a girl that's 158 centimeters tall. She starts doing a checkup and treatment for the whole concussion thing.

Yes but nonetheless people don't like replacing fifty million dollars worth of jetplane.
Guess what they have to do.

"I couldn't beat that because I spend more time calibrating my plane's fire control system than I do shooting actual rounds down range; maybe you could help me with that?" I take my sidearm out and walk to the booth, putting on a pair of headphones.

"A lot of that is simply experience with live-fire situations. Besides, I'm a bad teacher anyways."

I fire my magazine's last round into the target, nothing spectacular, it was a standard chest grouping. "Yeah.. that makes sense." I holster my Five-Seven, turning back to face the Captain. "Are you doing anything after this?"

The captain takes a moment to think and looks at you, declaring that she had nothing much planned. If you want to drag her somewhere for totally not homoloveual fun then now would be the time.
