oh. Well, pull up before I hit the tree and fire a missile at a Gripen.

The Gripen dumps flares, but the missile ignores the bait. It goes down, tumbling, fire and smoke trailing behind as the wreckage hits the ground.

"I got it." I aim my crosshair at the left engine and fire my cannon at the Viggen.

The Viggen takes fire, rounds filling the plane with holes. The pilot ejects as the fuel ignites, choking the engines, burning liquid being spat out of the engines.

The last Gripens pull a retreat. AWACS informs you that the bombers and attack helicopters are down and out. You are advised not to pursue.

No because that barely put a dent in the Huitz war machine. Call me again when you do something significant like shoot down an ace or protect an incredibly important strategic asset like nukes or something.
As it stands you were just protecting some buildings the NAUC wanted not blown up.
