Why do you need our age? Why do we need to be 14+? Age shouldn't factor in here, what matters is if a person knows how to test and review an add-on.

Because 90% of the time, age usually counts towards maturity and responsibility. There needs to be a set of boundaries if you have the power to affect the way addons are released out to the public.

Seriously, get rid of the global ban list. It's not your job.

I was on the fence before, but now you've made me fall into the "Definitely not downloading this" side.

You're doing this all wrong.

Seriously, get rid of the global ban list. It's not your job.

The global blacklist was removed a while back. Read the poll.

Well, he's right about the age thing I think. I seriously disagree with the ban list though.

The global blacklist was removed a while back. Read the poll.

The OP still lists it as a feature.

Optional, but better Some knowledge with TorqueScript
This is not optional. Good knowledge of torkscript is the number one requirement. It's not about finding bugs in add-ons or testing compatibility with other add-ons. It's about reading their code and finding backdoors and oher hidden malicious crap.

Agreed.

Why do you want to review addons?
Because I want to contribute to this project, and help make Blockland Pitstop a great service.

What are your methods on testing addons?
How can you tell if they are broken or not?

I give the code a thorough check in notepad++, then I test it in-game, on a vanilla server.
I will test all of the features of the add-on in different situations, checking every possible combination of circumstances for broken features.
I also look through the console for syntax and console spamming errors, such as debug echo(); 's that the mod maker left in on accident.

Are you willing to take at least 5-10 hours out of your week to test and review addons?
Of course.

Do you promise that you will not abuse your powers?
I promise that I will never abuse my power of an add-on reviewer.

If you see that the addons are in the wrong category, will you put them in the right ones?
This is a given, I knew this would be one of my jobs even before reading the app.

Will you respond to reports from broken addons?
Yes, I will keep a vigilant watch over the reports.

Optional: Do you have any other skills that will help you test the addons?
I've coded for a while, and have a very nice understanding of torquescript.

Why do you want to review addons?
I want to help out one way or another for this website to take off. It sounds like a very promising project and I can already see some actual progress.

What are your methods on testing addons?
I check the code for any TorqueScript quirks and backdoors, as well as syntax errors in case the add-on's really broken.
I also test the add-on in-game to make sure it doesn't break anything.

How can you tell if they are broken or not?
I thought this was kind of obvious, but anyway.
If the add-on spams my console with errors, that's one way to tell.
If the add-on crashes only on dedicated servers I also know how to solve this problem.
(local variables outside functions cause dedicated servers to crash)
If it's riddled with bugs and broken functionality, that's also a way to tell.

Are you willing to take at least 5-10 hours out of your week to test and review addons?
Yeah. I don't have many things going on right now anyway.

Do you promise that you will not abuse your powers?
I promise.

If you see that the addons are in the wrong category, will you put them in the right ones?
Isn't that part of my job as an add-on reviewer?

Will you respond to reports from broken addons?
Ofcourse.

Optional: Do you have any other skills that will help you test the addons?
I'm an add-on creator myself and I know torquescript well enough.
