Author Topic: Souls Thread (Demon; Dark 1, 2)  (Read 66039 times)

I was just walking around firelink, farming souls, when i run across this...thing...coming out of the floor near where the bird is.

I researched and found out he's a trash disposal. after selling everything i don't use i ended up with 30000 something souls.

Thats Frampt The Kingseeker

Talk to him after beating Ornstein and Smough and acquiring the lordvessel

or dont and beat the 4 kings and talk to Kaathe (Who looks exactly like Frampt)

Basically they will take you to where you place the Lord Vessel down. After acquiring the 4 lord souls and putting them into the Lord Vessel the giant door to the kiln of the first flame and where the final boss (Gywn) is, will open

or you can jump down his hole yourself and not be lied to

or you can rek him with the pike.

You can constantly hit him, and he'd keep repeating the good-bye phrase.

It's fun to use up an entire weapon's durability on him.

stick to the left of that area. the stone giants arent very hard. if you stick to the left you'll reach some ruins and you'll find a staircase to the lunar butterfly moth

also if you stick to the right, there will be a "living" tree you can kill that will reveal a hidden path

Down that hidden path are some things that drop an item that gives you increased stamina regen.

lol those stone giants used to scare me, now i kill them in 3 hits

yea they look intimidating but they're really pusillanimous individuals

i want them to be harder tbh. idk about you but this whole section of darkroots doesnt feel like it fits in and flows with the rest of the game

its just like... over there

well i mean you have to kill the sif wolf to get the ring. And there's some neat stuff in it, it's worth looking at.

Lunar butterfly is so easy it's funny.

just roll dodge his attacks and he lowers himself for you. bonus if you have a bow to take a few shots at him while he's flying around between his attacks

unfortunately its hard to dodge the spikey shogun attack thingy

lunar butterfly doesnt make for a fun fight if ur on the worst end of the weapon scale

shotgun may b avoided by sticking to the right w/ shield up
doesnt always work, but tends to miss due to projectile patterns

otherwise the homing orbs are easily avoidable
not sure about the overhead beam, never had that happen 2 me except 4 1 time

Please, please spell out words. I'm not sure how new you are here, but some members are grammar national socialists, and from what i remember they don't show any mercy.

OT: Last time i fought the moonlight butterfly it never used the beam. and i was able to dodge the shotgun attack a few times.

also, is it worth going down the great tree in blighttown?
