my point exactly.
why do you need all this stuff on your desktop
[i mg]http://puu.sh/dP3Gt/c998b39b0a.jpg[/img]
who needs to be reminded about that daily.
It's not on my desktop. It's in a terminal. Do you not see the bright loving red window border around it?
Stop assuming people are idiots when you don't even know what you're looking at.
that's understandable lol
i don't use a tiling window manager without adding a bit of buffer space between the windows so it doesn't look so, uh... compacted together, honestly. right now though i use windows for muh gaymen
i actually reinstalled windows for the fourth time because i broke it while ricing...again... i never knew this OS was so fragile uuuurgh
Isn't the point of a tiling WM compactness?
I really only dislike the people in the linux community who look at the customization for it instead of looking at what it actually has
Why not both?
I enjoy the process of customizing a Linux machine, and I also like the functional advantages of it.
Having great customization is awesome, but if you have to sacrifice useful stuff just to have a pastel-color tiling WM with numix everywhere, then it's not worth it.
Some people do take it way too far. I once saw someone with 10-pixel decorative window borders in XFCE using only lynx as his web browser. It was disgusting.
