I cant see how a tumblr convention could work.
It would have to be the single most awkward thing ever. If someone held the door open, they would get beaten for oppressing women.
If anyone says a word someone will get offended at it.
White girls would pretend to be black. Men would be killed.

This isn't a YouTube convention, it seems to just be a big silly event under the easy-money name of "internet video." I can't find anything about what actually happens there except for pictures of a stage, though, so heck if I know.

I don't feel obligated to donate money to a teen who is "homeless" and get nothing in return, in a position where they have no evidence of it.

The YouTube thing seems to at least imply it's under the banner of video creation, though it is definitely just a glorified entertainment event. And it still looks like as stuffty idea as a Tumblr convention. Which could also serve as glorified entertainment, given the right circumstances.

That's also in total driving distance from me; I've already seen some fellas considering heading down to go see the stuffstorm, so there's fair chance I might join them for chuckles.
