a lot of women dont like feminism and everyone is angry: a trilogy

http://womenagainstfeminism.tumblr.com/

this blog is absolutely beautiful

it actually makes me think there's some women with actual brains instead of having stuff-

oh, sorry stuff. you shouldn't be compared to modern day feminists.

it actually makes me think there's some women out there with actual brains instead of having something else for a brain.

i think that first image is broken, kimon
that or chrome is just loving with me
haha WHOOPS

no but it was basically the same thing except with an equal sign

to each their own, kimon

maybe someone else got a rich experience from j5h's offer

; = )
Or AIDS

I get what you guys are saying with the symbol change, but I do like the fist. I think it's important to empower femininty and put it in a positive light is important in order to reach equality, and that's how I see the fist. But if you see it as a fist to represent taking over men, then I can't really argue against gynophobia (not that I want to argue at all).

The equal sign is kinda blah but it probably gave the movement a better first impression.

Also, man-hating feminists aren't even new. There was that woman who tried to kill Andy Warhol, and I'm like 70% sure that was while it was an equal sign.

but do they really need an entire movement focused entirely on women still? the 'ban bossy' campaign went viral at the same time that boys were doing way worse than girls in every faucet of education. don't you think it's about time they stopped pretending to care about equality and actually actively work towards equality?

at least it made sense
feminism is gender equality, not "women are better than men"

i really dont think that definition applies anymore

I still will disagree with the idea that feminism is (currently) soley about women. I see it more as, again, empowering feminity. I'll probably elaborate what I mean by that later.

As for activism, I honestly think what's mainstream is fine. You just seem to focus in on powerless idiots on Tumblr or feminists who burn down schools, it seems. They also seem to be your motivation in identifying as an egalitarian, no?

The main reason I don't like the label (the idea is fine) of egalitarianism is that having it as a replacement for feminism implies that masculinity is also considered wrong by society and that there isn't a patriarchy. If you believe that, fine, but men are definitely affected negatively by a patriarchy in different ways than women.

It never applied. The idea that feminism is about equal rights is true, to an extent. And not in the way you think I mean. I see feminism as more of a belief that there is a patriarchy that negatively affects society. And equal rights is a way to destroy it.

Also realize that feminism is a social movement. People will interpret the idea in a thousand ways.

wow thanks op for not adding me :(

if they claim to be feminists and try to make women better than men and are pretty much man haters, they aren't really feminists

#yesallwomen was a stuffty pointless campaign that confirmed my notion that active modern feminists in industrialized counties like to solely focus on pinning all adversity to the patriarchy (which has pretty much already disappeared since the second wave of feminism)

nO DON't SAY THAT, THAT'S BAIT

They're feminists, but a different branch of it that not everyone associates with.

A fist is not a symbol of empowerment, it is a symbol of control and violence. I think you need to learn what fists do.

and a symbol of revolution, which has been unnecessary for women's rights since like 1975
